CERTIFICATES OF DEPOSIT (CDs)
RGVCU offers a variety of terms to suit all your investment needs. We offer 6 month, 1 year, 2 year and 3 year certificates of deposit. The rate you earn depends on the term you select. With a CD at RGVCU you have the security of a guaranteed rate of return. A minimum deposit of $1,000 is required. Certificates of Deposits are calculated by using Simple Daily Interest. An early withdrawal penalty will apply if terms of certificate are changed before the maturity date. Please call for details.

INDIVIDUAL RETIREMENT ACCOUNTS (IRAs)
IRAs are deposit accounts used to hold funds for retirement. We have 1 year, 2 year and 3 year IRA certificates of deposit available. At RGVCU, we offer Traditional and Roth IRAs. The rate you earn depends on the term you select. A minimum deposit of $10.00 is required. Interest income from these accounts is tax deferred (depending on your income and whether you are covered under another type of retirement fund). There are different tax advantages with each of these types of IRA's. There is a $10.00 annual fee and a $5.00 closure fee. An early withdrawal penalty may apply for withdrawals before age 59-1/2.
